The Twilight Saga: New Moon
This is the second book and movie of the series. In this book, Bella and Edward have been getting more comfortable with each other, having spent the summer together. Alice Cullen, Bella's best friend and Edward's sister, throws Bella an 18th birthday party. Here she cuts her finger while opening a present, causing Jasper to go crazy with blood lust. Bella gets thrown across the room by Edward in an attempt to protect her from Jasper, and she ends up cutting her arm open. Jasper gets dragged away by the other Cullens, making Edward realise she can never be part of their world. While Carlisle (Edward's Father) stitches Bella up, Edward resolves himself to the fact that the only way he can protect Bella is to leave her. This causes Bella's entire world to fall apart. She becomes a shell of herself, until her best friend Jacob (who becomes a werewolf) starts to pull her out of her shell. A series of events causes Edward to almost kill himself and Bella and Alice rush to go and save him in Italy. It's much more involved then this little explanation, but too long for me to put it all here.
